Competitions and Events 2026

  • This is a pairs competition aimed at all levels of ability, including the absolute novice

  • A random draw will take place to pair experienced players with less experienced players

  • The draw will be published on the day at the club

  • The pairs will be divided into two groups and each pair will play four matches within their group

  • Each match will last 20 minutes

  • There is one point for a win, half for a draw

  • Group winners will be determined by most points won, then next best net chalks (differentials), then best gross chalks won

  • The winners of each group will play each other in a final.  If we have enough entries, we will, simultaneously to the final, play a match between each of the 2nd place pairs in each group to determine 3rd and 4th place.  Cash prizes for winners, runners-up and 3rd and 4th place.

  • £0.00 entry fee - There is no entry fee for this event as the members are all asked to contribute to the luncheon

  • Refreshments will be provided

  • There is a maximum of 40 players and a minimum of 20.  If we have more entrants than can be accommodated, entries will be accepted on a first come first served basis.   We will maintain a waitlist.
