End of Season Party and the Handicap Summer Singles Knockout Semi-final & Final

On Wednesday, 23rd September, over 50 people attended our End of Season Party at the clubhouse to enjoy the wine, soft drinks and nibbles while watching the semi-final and final of the Handicap Summer Singles Knockout competition.

In between the semi-final and finals, many of us enjoyed the 'Bowling round the Clock' competition with everyone simultaneously bowling to a jack placed in and around the centre of the green - the objective being to be closest to the jack and be rewarded by receiving a bottle of wine. Gradually, the final 12 battled it out with Mike Adley coming out on top - somewhat miraculously!

The semi-final of the Handicap Knockout competition between Jayne Roberts and David Town concluded with David going through to the final - against Darlene Masters.  After a fast start from David, Darlene finally levelled up and battled through to take the title.

We were blessed with lovely weather and the whole evening was enjoyed by us all.
