Reds & Blues Practice Sessions
 

To All members but especially those of you that played in the Reds/Blues in the past AND members that joined in last few years.

 

The Reds/Blues sessions last season were again popular and I am proposing to schedule them again this season with the hope that even more members will take advantage of them to practice, both team AND non-team players.

 

If you are recent new members you may not be aware of these, so let me explain.

As it says they are PRACTICE SESSIONS where members play a one-to-one match of 15up with another member who I consider to be at the same point on their bowling ‘journey’ – so no pressure!

When I know how many members wish to participate I allocate you to either the Red or Blue team and then depending on who wishes to play in each session decide the pairings.

This way you get experience of match play and how it can enhance your enjoyment of playing bowls.

 

Hopefully the weather will allow the green to open on the 23rd March and I am scheduling the Reds/Blues practice sessions for this season through to the end of May - 11 in all - with 1 Tuesday session prior to the start of the Vets League matches.

The dates are below all starting at 4.30pm - to approximately 6pm.

Please let me know asap if you wish to join in AND whether you can play in the first 3 sessions. You will be able to indicate participation in subsequent sessions on the sheets displayed in the clubhouse.

(We can accommodate up to 20 per session if we put 5 jacks on each half)

 

I will then e-mail the selections as well as displaying them in the clubhouse.
